The Community Benefits from Business

Income Taxes and Employee's wages and Taxes

You may know that businesses pay additional payroll taxes, and that some of the business portion and the employees' portion goes to the local community. Business may also pay income tax for the profit to this community. Without local businesses, there would be less money for the village, city, township, county, and or state to operate.

Property Taxes and Improvements

Some states depend on property taxes to finance the local schools.

Even if a business has been excused of some property taxes because of improvements made, it still makes the community a better, stronger place.

Most businesses in small towns and cities are asked to donated to all sorts of community functions.

Advertising dollars pay for the "free" newspapers that contain the local news. Traditional radio and newspapers would be nonexistent without business advertising.

Circulating Money in the Community

Businesses, especially those that employ within the community and support the community are important. When they profit from the Stimulus Rebate, the community also profits. This is even more true if the business buys locally, contracts with local services, produces products locally or otherwise circulates the money within the community.
