Some Benefits

There was a time when most Americans were farmers or factory workers. These are obviously production careers. Now, a lot of production has gone to other countries.

This isn't all bad - we have time and space to create less noisy, smelly and polluting processes.

We can create new items and methods to meet our needs.  We can develop processes beyond what other countries will not be able to compete with successfully.

This is a national wake-up call to each of us to become more responsive and responsible for what is happening.

The Pain

• Americans who produce items in completion with those made in countries with lower standards of living are brought down to that lower standard.
• Workers who compete with foreign manufacturers receiving governmental manufacturer subsidies, lose that amount in their collective pay and job availability.
• The process makes many things cheaper to buy, but jobs in the USA are taken away. Dollars also leave the country. Eventually, our buying power will also decrease.
• We need to produce wealth in areas and methods that foreign markets cannot compete, if we are to retain our buying power and way of life.
